The Sony HVL-F60RM II is a high-performance bounce flash designed to maximise the potential of high-end Sony mirrorless cameras. It features a guide number of 60 and covers a 24-200mm zoom range, with fast continuous shooting performance of up to 200 flashes at 10 frames per second and high-speed sync of up to 1/400th of a second when paired with the Sony Alpha A1. The unit functions as an on-camera flash, radio wireless commander, or receiver, and its quick shift bounce functionality ensures consistent bounce flash quality when shooting in portrait orientation.

Flash control is linked to the face detection AF of select Sony cameras, delivering more accurate exposure metering, while automatic white balance adjustment based on flash output helps maintain colour accuracy. Key flash settings can be controlled directly from the camera, and important functions can be assigned to the four-way controller for quick access. The HVL-F60RM II features an updated metal shoe foot with a rugged side frame for greater impact protection, and improved shoe sealing enhances dust and moisture resistance when used with compatible Sony cameras.
